Awaaz privacy notice
How complaints, photos, community activity and account information are handled in Awaaz.
What we collect and why
We store your email account, name, optional phone and avatar, society membership and roles. These identify your account and limit access to your society. Reports can contain descriptions, addresses, optional map coordinates and photos. We store comments, discussions, support votes, poll choices, notice receipts and notification preferences to provide the actions you choose.
Who can see your records
Approved society members see community-visible complaints and discussions. Private complaints and internal notes are limited to their authorised workflow. Anonymous reporting hides your identity from other residents and staff, but authorised administrators can identify you. Staff see assigned work; contact access is restricted. Platform owners administer the service. Public tracking requires the share link and exposes progress, not the reporter, address, phone or private notes.
Photos, offline copies and service providers
Photos are compressed and image metadata is stripped in the verified upload pipeline. Private files use expiring access links. Your device may hold account-isolated offline records and queued actions; signing out clears these. Lovable Cloud hosts accounts, records and files. Optional AI suggestions use minimised text, not private contact information. Maps request tiles from OpenStreetMap; external links and sign-in providers apply their own privacy notices.
Security records
Security records can include account actions, timestamps, device/browser information and a keyed hash of the request IP address. A hash is used instead of storing a raw IP in the new security records. Administrators see their own society’s audit records; platform owners see platform-wide records. Not every sign-in event or device email is currently recorded or delivered.
How long records stay
Read notifications are eligible for removal after 90 days, application errors after 30 days and temporary rate-limit counters after two days. Image drafts use the existing scheduled cleanup. Revoked-session markers remain while the associated account session exists. The new security cleanup endpoint is ready but its scheduled production execution is not yet verified. Complaint and audit records are kept for society accountability; no fixed maximum retention period has been established for them.
Download, correction and deletion
Your profile lets you change your account details and download your own profile, complaints, comments, posts and votes as readable JSON files in a ZIP. It excludes authentication secrets and other people’s private records. Deletion requests have a seven-day cancellation window. Automatic final deletion is currently paused for preservation and safety checks; submitting a request does not yet remove your account. The intended completed workflow keeps complaints attributed to Former resident.
Your choices and contact
Choose complaint visibility, notification preferences and optional AI assistance. Avoid personal identifiers in community-visible text or photos. Contact your society management for local records. For platform privacy or security requests, email fazlullahazaad@gmail.com or batal6480895@gmail.com.
